Patiently waiting

This is the week that Sonia’s Smile would normally have been taken over by Churches Together for Christian Aid week. They have a popup shop each year and it helps them raise around £2000. Instead they have asked the villagers to raise awareness, and hopefully receive donations, by making scarecrows. The theme this year is climate change, which is the same as for the Fairtrade Foundation..

The village is still relatively quiet during the week but with the Bronte Parsonage opening next week we should see more visitors and hopefully more customers. Gradually easing out of the pandemic and observing the terrible conditions elsewhere in the world we are grateful for our lives here in Haworth.
